RIOT: Teemo Proposition

Instead of Removing a lot of fans beloved because we know you can't do that, but let's see if you can put this in their next patch where it would limit the amount of Mushrooms Teemo can have on the rift at a time (sort of like what you did with the vision and sight wards). This would make so that you have to have some skill when using Teemo rather than just covering the whole rift with Mushrooms. I know this makes Teemo less powerful. So to compensate that, why don't you increase the power of his Mushrooms. Its a thought, what do you guys think????

Increase the power of the mushrooms? You're joking right? The mushrooms are too strong of a tool in his kit with little to no counterplay to begin with, that's the problem.

That doesn't solve the problem. You can already find any game with a Teemo in it or any stream and come mid game or later it only takes one shroom to bring your team's ADC or any squishy to about 3/4 or 3/5 health and stepping on two shrooms forces that person to back or at least retreat to lifesteal off of jungle creeps. Increasing the shrooms power is not how to fix this problem.

I agree that they shouldn't buff the dmg, but teemo shrooms aren't op as is. he has no power outside of forcing people out of lane and escaping. those are his only 2 strengths.

they have plenty of counterplay.

1: true sight item, there are several

2: don't be retarded and just autopath, that's a teemos favorite place to shroom right next to bushes

3: bushes. always have shrooms. unless teemo is retarded

4: watch for patterns in placement.

Other than the improved sweeping lens which has a much longer cooldown then the shrooms and require you to already know where the shrooms are to use it effectively, what other true sights items do you consider viable?

2 & 3) Not walking through bushes or using autopath isn't counterplay. That's like saying don't walk through the jungle ever if they have an evelynn. It's obviously a good idea to be careful about it and know that bushes are a high priority placement, but that isn't counterplay.

Viable counterplay and I recognize it but I don't feel it is strong enough counterplay to how strong a mechanic Teemo's shrooms are.

another thing, only sorta counterplay though. go in for full confrontations at all points in the game, but don't chase obviously. if you keep him from getting fed, his shrooms wont do that much damage. also, if you are a tankier champ, you can intentionally pop his shrooms.

also, they brought back true vision potions I believe.

They have not brought back Oracle's Elixir. Oracle's Extract is still available on Howling Abyss and the like but nothing on Summoner's Rift.

I say that because I have on multiple occasions seen a champion who can see stealthed things and they have the vision eye above them. not sure what that is, but im pretty sure its a potion.

It is 100% not a potion. That is the active effect of the third upgrade for the Sweeping Trinket, the upgrade that costs 475 gold. Not a potion but it acts similar to the way Oracle's Elixir used to work. However, like I said, the cooldown for that item is significantly longer then the cooldown for Teemo to place more shrooms and because of how long that vision lasts it requires the user to already know where the shrooms are to use it effectively.

the whole point of teemo is to annoy the crap out of the enemy team by split pushing all day and shrooming the universe by night, dealing decent dot to enemies, but not a retarded amount. he already sucks late game, this would destroy him late game. to be honest, teemo as is doesn't counter anybody, all you have to do is actually fight him and you win(unless you are stupid and chase him through the 10 shrooms he has waiting so he can kite your balls off)

The people who said no most likely play teemo, teemo requires 0 skill, his poison is bullshit, and his mushrooms destroyed 1/4 of my health as tank maokai 2 mushrooms removed 1000 health. Teemo is the most annoying champian in league. Teemo also has no conbos so noobs can play him and piss you off. Instead of nerfing the poison how about removing his blind? Leave his poison to be his main source of damage but renove his blind.
