The New Chat Restriction System

**Why put the new chat restriction system into effect right before S4 come to an end? **

How this going to deter people from being toxic?

You might as well refund all toxic players their money back and then IP ban them all. Since RIOTS want to take their rewards away at the end of Season 4 because of bad sportsmanship. The funny part is... instead of implementing this for season 5 (so everyone is aware of what can happen to their account in S5)... they are implementing this for season 4 right before the season end. This is too funny and ridiculous for RIOTS to put this experiment through at the end of season 4. Riots even go through all the servers banning people left to right without a warning on here. People were surprise to being banned from LoL just to figure out... RIOTS give out the warning of banning people from LoL through reddit, which, most of us actually come to LoL for the news. After getting banned from LoL, everyone probably file a support ticket asking why their account were banned for 2-3 weeks? They would copy and paste the same message to everyone about the toxic in their account. Most of us probably go... okay 2-3 weeks ban is okay. Since the 2nd ban would cost us our account. This first ban going to deter me from being toxic since I don't want my account to be ban forever...

So now everyone is waiting for their ban to be lift and RIOTS pretty much saying, "Yes, we do know toxic people buy skins and champions using real life money. Yes, they are part of our LoL community, AND petty much help made our business very successful as of today. BUT now that we are successful... we going to fu ck them over because we can. We could of implement this for season 5... but we don't give a fu ck so let fu ck them over in season 4. Since we want to cater this to good behavior players. So good behavior people can see that our system is working and it is deterring people from bad sportsmanship."

Infact, we all know the only way the stats for toxic players go down and good behavior goes up is because they going to straight up ban toxic players' or because of their new "experiment" system will magically deter toxic players from being toxic. All good behavior players thinking... "yes this is good for our community because now the game going to be fun." But in reality, when you only want good players to continue playing and bad players to stop playing, it is still going to create toxic players because when one have a better understanding of the game, he/she going to get frustrated at others' who are bad. It is a loop in all mmorpg and moba games. Any type of competitive games, people going to be toxic, and it is stupid to use your resource to deter toxic players when the SERVER it self need more help than solving "how to deal with toxic players?"

Since RIOTS have the time to ban toxic players... might as well use that resource to check all the toxic accounts and see how much money they make from toxic players alone. Obvious they won't use their resource to check out how much they are making from toxic players but will come up with an excuse about sportsmanship.

All who got common sense would know... this new chat restriction and rank queue is a bad idea. Implementing a new system at the end of the season is also a bad idea. I guess their new systems suppose to deter bad behaviors... but the best way is already implemented in the game. The power to mute people. Who fault is it not to mute someone who is toxic? If someone throw a kid tantrum right off the bat... just mute them. RIOTS is taking it too far to implement this system, imo.

LoL is the new hippie game.

Just an fyi, since idk how long you've been here. Permabans have been around for a while. So, just because they're upping the banning rate doesn't mean there wasn't a threat of being banned, before. Frankly back in season two, I was afk in two games and got a two day ban. Meaning the banning has gotten more reasonable.

I get toxic every once in a while and might get reported. But I am not going to be banned for that one report. People who get punished are CONSISTENTLY toxic. If you're getting frustrated with people who are "bad", don't berate them and bombard them with hateful comments. Yeah you get mad but if you start flamming people and affecting their play time negatively, it's not cool. I fuckin' hate when people start bitching at me, the rare times they do, you know why? It takes my attention off the game and in no way improves upon my play as a summoner. I sit there and have this comment war with my teammate because they think they're so much better than everyone, yet can't figure out that spitting hate at their own teammate doesn't improve their chances of winning. They can't figure out that when they do win, they probably didn't flame someone on their team for one mistake that they wouldn't have made since they're so good.

I spent plenty (my gosh) amounts of money on this game. But does that justify me being able to scream and yell at other people who haven't or only spent less than me, because they're "bad"? NO! If you find yourself in a game with a "bad" teammate you're probably just as bad as a teammate as them, even if you have superior champion skills or more experience than them. I'd rather have the newbie who feeds on accident, is malleable (listens) to suggestions and will try their hardest in that game to improve because I tried my best to HELP them, yet still lose. Than to have the toxic scrub, who only pays attention to other people's lanes just to judge them, and win. Because that newbie didn't put me in a bad mood, which doesn't affect the next game I play.

If you have a problem with losing your account because you bought rp and want to be toxic, I hope you get your account permabanned cause you don't need to be here.

Dude, come back with a coherent, readable, and rational argument and we'll talk. This is just one guy ranting right now.

I don't mind getting ban for my toxicity. The only thing that is mess up is implementing a new system before season 4 end. How the hell you going to put a new system into effect when a season about to end? Do that even make sense? How the hell we going to deter from being toxic before the season end in such a short time? Also Rommel, if you didn't get the gist of my argument... don't come back. Since you only read my rants but not my questions.

You seem to be under a misconception. People who are hit by the system have already been toxic in the past. All this new system does is try to give them incentive to not be toxic in the future. This is not the stick, it's the carrot. In the past, Riot gave the carrot even to those players who had been toxic. Now Riot takes away the carrot from the toxic players and dangles it in front of their noses. If that doesn't work, however, there's still the stick, aka the banhammer.
