Friend just lost his promos because of an afk.

WHY do these fking things even exist? He was on the verge into getting promoted and needed 1 more win. Then we get an AFK he doesn't connect from the start and lose the game because of it. Why the fuck should a promotion be determined by winning 2/3 promo games instead of maybe winning enough games in your division? Seriously we go on like a 4-5 win streak and he loses his promos because of an afk? This system is flawed as fuck RIot get rid of promo games.
