Dear Riot employees,

I am used to being beaten in games. Whether they are better than me (not by about 3 ranks lol) or the fact that I am lagging. Maybe both. But something needs to be done about the smurfs and eloboosters I am seeing often. The previous 2 ranked games I played mid, I went against smurfs. One was just smurfing for the heck of it, the other eloboosting. **BOTH PLAYING LEBLANC... **I am extremely angry about this. Most people smurf to Eloboost people, but here's where it goes wrong for both sides.

For the team WITH the smurf: You will win, gain elo, win a promo game if you're in one, but... If you keep on consistently meeting smurfs that get you into about divisions a lot higher than you used to be, you'll go against harder people, and just drop back to your previous rank. A waste of time, rather than having yourself work your way up, like most high Elo people.

For the team against the smurf: You're going to lose Elo, possibly your promos, or even get demoted. You may not DESERVE to be demoted, but that's what smurfs or elo boosters do.

Now, I know you might not encounter smurfs, but for the people in bronze-silver, like me, I encounter them A LOT. Riot, now, I believe that you care most about your ranked games correct? If someone is extremely toxic, you're going to ban them from ranked games, not normal games? Correct? Yes. However, smurfs are as dangerous as having a toxic troller on your team, probably worse, as most smurfs duo queue. Please do someting about this. This is NOT in my opinion fair. It's not fair for most people against, or sometimes with the smurfs/eloboosters. Please. Punish them. I'd prefer normals, now due to the amount of smurfs I am seeing, it'd be more fair, and more fun.

Smurfs shouldn't be punished because some people legit have a reason for a 2nd account

But it's still very annoying to have someone throw a game because "dude idc its not my main acc lel"

It's very annoying when you lose lane to a smurf and get reported for feeding

It's very annoying when someone on your team is duoing with someone much higher level because it really messes up team contributions and it becomes like a 1v5 with one feeder, 1 legendary and 3 regular people sitting around twiddling their thumbs

Riot does not condemn nor condone smurfing, because they don't yet have an alternative for it. Most of the time you encounter someone you think is smurfing, chances are they're just better than you.

As for your screenshot, that's just a snippet of a conversation. For all we know she was being sarcastic because you were upset about losing. Shaming people on the forums is against guidelines. If you want to report someone beyond the post-game report function, then you can submit a Support Ticket, not make a forum post.

I wish Riot would ban people from having multiple accounts. If people wanted to play no-low risk games, then they should play normals. Instead, these people just ruin the ranking system by adding a barrier at about S1-Gold5.

Riot won't ban smurphs, because how can you honestly tell? It could just be two people in the same household connecting through the same IP addresses with two different accounts. Plus, smurphs usually buy things like skins, so that just means extra income.

I don't see an end to smurphs, but I think Riot should take some action to defend players from people who are suspicious.

Other times, I just can't help when I was last pick and Top insta-locked Xin against Riven, and went 0/7 and fAFK for the whole game afterwards . I can't do anything from the support role to strongly influence the game either.

You're going to encounter fewer smurfs in Bronze than in any other division. An account that is new to ranked would have to lose the majority of their placements to place in Bronze. That doesn't happen unless they're really trying to lose games, like feeding on purpose.
