Weird thing on Irelia

So I played a match not too long ago and noticed something weird on my champion. I had never seen it before. When I asked my team, they said it was 'the skin' or 'her blade', but the past times I've used Irelia and the Aviator skin, I've never seen this object attached to her. Plus, if it was part of the skin, the scheme's a bit off. Maybe I'm just a tad crazy and it's been there every game I used her.

The object in question is the glowing red thingamabobjig. Also, wasn't sure which board was appropriate.
