Quitting League for good. Open goodbye letter.
Riot, this isn't a rant but a thank you.
League has been a core element of my life for the past 4 years: Many awesome friendships were made during this time, I learned to stay focused and function within a team. I felt it all: joy, anger, sadness, lag, glory. The tension of a tight match, the bitter feeling of being on a lose streak, the bliss of the first Pentakill.
But, it has come to an end for me. League has evolved into such a time-consuming thing I've stopped doing real life stuff: going out with friends, studying for school, working on my relationship and on my career. I can't control myself around League, I literally get too hooked.
Many times have I tried to quit because of the same reason, but in the end, all of them were because I was salty, or just too angry, and wasn't really determined to do so. This time, I'm truly letting it go. I'm having a friend change my password and email, getting rid of all the League related stuff. I do this with a heavy heart since it has been a truly enjoyable and wonderful experience, but deep down I know its for the best.
I want to be a better person and this is my first step.
Goodbye League, it has been a true honor to be in the Fields of Justice with you all. GG.
Kalina, Nikita, Ricardo and Stam, you were my brothers on dire times. Best of luck to all of you. Riven was my favorite champion, hence the art.
