I just got promoted to gold 5. It took me 5 promotion fails before I got it right. And I actually feel like I got myself out. I went 12-0-10 on Shaco to win my 3rd straight match in my promo series. Not a huge accomplishment compared to some but was very satisfying for myself.
Boo promotion lol. Played my first game once I hit gold 5 and the enemy team had a gold 1, 2 gold 2's, and 2 gold 4's. My team was similar though. I am just confused as to why as soon as I hit gold I am thrown in with the top end of gold right out the gate.
Why is it when you play well the game automatically thinks you need to be matched up vs people on the complete opposite side of the tier your in? It seems like it never matches you vs people who are actually at the same skill level as yourself. Its always trying to make you maintain a 50% win rate by thumping you with people who are higher ranked.
