Descendant tourneys - Beware
So I have a friend whom I played a few games with nice guy. He invited me to this tourney free to play they give RP out to one player from top two teams...and the teams vote.
Something new I will try it! I did and made it to finals and as mostly as joke everyone voted for another person so I won the RP card $10 off of a coin flip. The game organizer didn't have the rewards that night and promised to get it to me. I was skeptic, but two days later right before another tourney they contacted me and paid me out the RP.
I was like this is great joined up again that night they were short of the required 6 teams so I invited my son and another friend to join. So both my team and my son's team won their first games. My team lost the second game against one of the teams that get byes, and my son's team won theirs.
After that they questioned if he was really a "Bronze" player, and questioned him. BTW he had a champion level player on his team which snowballed the whole team to roll up deaths on the other team. My son is decent at only one character Kha'Zix in the jungle.
My son is Blackenspire. He has had that account for 3-4 years, also his WoW name. He plays LoL in spurts but wasn't even serious enough to rank up this year. He has played more often with friends he works with lately in random 5v5 cause they don't want to play ranked with him as he is not at their level yet, but it's still fun to play with your friends.
The leaders of the tourney called my son a liar and said he bought the account. Wait so people buy accounts that someone played over 500 games with in one season and only won 186 of them with a LOLKING score of 850? ROFL
Sorry not for your $10 RP card people.
Facts: They asked my son his best ranked: He told them season before last he ranked in S1 but finished B5. This is true he got lucky pairings and as soon as he played earned his real rank. B5.
Fact: they asked him about his experience this season, he told them he plays with Gold level players and he has a friend that is Plat level that helps him.
After they decided his level should be a Bronze pairing and letting him play, his team won two games. Then organizers kicked him from final match claiming he was a smurf because he was playing to well. So 8/3/9 and 9/3/18 with a Champion level player on your team with over 18 kills each game is too good for a casual player who is only good with Kha'Zak jungle? Laughable.
I tried to talk to them they then called both of us as liars. So play in their tourneys at your own risk.
Enjoy your own Drama with them.
BTW I posted this because I had guilt for even getting my son and another friend involved to be treated this way, and they deserve to have themselves put out for the way they treated people they requested to come.
Descendant Gamming you get two thumbs down. One for hosting a tourney and not having the prizes on hand to give. Two for allowing people to join with you deciding their level and then kicking them and accusing them of "treachery" with words like "smurfing" and "liarary"!
