Both sides of the free skin discusiion

This is about the "Get skins for free using IP" conversation that has been going for a few years now. And I'm here just explain to both sides about the benefits of both sides and decide my veridct at the end.

Now I've been searching for some days, now and people have some good ideas that Riot should consider. I've seen renting skins( which is a good one, coming from smite)to making them more expensive then the most expensive champions(7200 new champions on realease). Now these are good ideas but you need to listen to the following...

Rito needs money You don't need skins (Ingame) The skins do probably just extend skillshots a little bit. Rito already made the game free... People would pretty much just waste there time trying to buy the champs with IP( and not do anything else). Rito would lose money and LoL wouldn't be the #1 MOBA anymore. Buying skins with money isn't just for buying skins, your also donating money to (Riot) a company that made a good game that you enjoy, and made it FREE for EVERYONE.

Now I like the idea of getting skins for free, but It's also not good to be greedy. But I still like getting skins for free, especially when (correct me if I'm wrong) at the start of the Year when they gave all the good players a random skin for free. It means our community is doing something right. And If we keep doing things right they might even give us one free skin per month.

But like I was saying, I like the idea of free skins( avalible daily/ once per week) And I know everyone else does too. So when people give good idea on free skins, don't be an ass and make fun of the person, but give good feedback, and if your voting on free skins that you want them, then say yes, don't say no becuase the company will lost money( saying have to say yes, or even vote at all), say yes because you want the free skins. not everyone can afford (all) skins in LoL, so just let the people be when they want free skins.

Reasons you should consider it...

Your getting free skins
Skins are cool (LoL)
Your getting free skins( did I already say that)
Your not using precious money you use to buy food, a place to live ,etc. 5.Your getting free skins

But to be honest, even though I like the idea of of getting free skins, Riot is one of the few company who aren't greedy, made this amazing game free, spend there time making skins, and skin splashes(that are pretty deceptive) and that are actually worth money. Riot should still consider this idea, but remeber you don't need skins and should donate that money to Riot, by buying skins.

You know you can be a "SKT Faker" amd never buy a skin (other than a skin dedicated to you), and use it.

I don't want Riot to just go out and make skins free, but you know how they do the skin sale thing? I was wondering if once per week, a random skin is sold for IP at 1,000,000 IP. It will be one of those skins that cost 540 RP. Any thoughts?

Then there is no point if it is that exspensive for a 540 rp skin. since it seems 13900IP=1300 RP (Due to the name changing pricing) so skins would go off this ratio or the ratio for champions. I currently have 84K IP. Coourse id have a way lot more if i didn't name change so often but i dont think anyone has a million IP. Exspecially just for a 540 rp skin. lol

I don't really know. 100,000 IP? Just 26,000 IP shy. People get on the Boards and usually complain about the fact they have now bought everything IP can buy. Throw this into the mix and you have about 42 skins worth IP a year that will get rid of 42,000,000 IP that they accumulate. They don't have to buy the skin, they may not want to. They might as well miss the chance. The thing is, no one really cares about the price and say they'd spend this much for a skin. The types of skins can vary. 50,000 IP for a 540 RP skin, 75,000 for a 750 RP skin, 100,000 IP for a 975 RP skin. And once a year, there will be a 150,000 IP skin for a 1350 and once a year there can be a 200,000 IP skin for a 1850 RP skin.

I don't want free skins I want free runes and champions, someone who has played League for 5 years can have the same champion pool as someone who is just rich and payed $500 to obtain everything.

You dont need every champion or rune in the game to be effective and the person who dropped money STILL has to grind for the runes just they can buy the champions.

Saying not wanting free champs is like saying you don't want free books, you could read them but not like them in the end, getting champs is better than getting skins m8,

You don't need skins
Champs have an option nOt to cost money, skins do
Having a champs can effect your game, skins not really...

did i say a free champion was bad? Nope. And no id rather not have "free books" that is a bad analogy. it would end up cluttering my space with all the books. You also explained why you dont need free skins/in game money for them. "3. Having a champs can effect your game, skins not really..." skins are ONLY cosmetic hence they dont have a purpose to be bought with in game money since never having one wont hurt you. You proved my point that they don't need to be free. For all i care champions can be or riot can give a skin out every now and then.

Is true Skins are cosmetic,but I don't understand your rage. I was the one that didn't like the idea of free skins, because riot is a good company and but a 10$ skin is like a donation to rito in a way.

Alot of people just don't understand, they want skins more than champs, but most people have most champs in the game so... Idk

Then they can spend money on skins and grind for champions that is there choice. If you want skins buy em if not don't get skins until riot "rewards" you for being nice or whatever the reasoning.

Skins are cosmetic and are not needed. when rriot feels like giving them out then sure why not it is there choice but if everyone gets X skin then that skin becomes dull because EVERYONE has it. skins are to set yourself apart i feel or whatever or just to change it up a bit. If you don't want to spend money don't but if you want a skin make a choice. otherwise be greatful for the random free skins you get.

Now dud i don't really know what your saying becuase not everyone plays the same champ and not everyone buys the same skin, LoL isn't the other like if there is an op weapon everyone uses that weapon. Different people like different champs dude...

lol if EVERYONE got say popstar ahri free right? say those people go into games to play ahri. oh wait they ONLY OWN popstar ahri because it was the free skin correct? the skin is now stale since it will be a majority of what you see if people never bought skins. I personally have a favorite skin for each champion and some skins for the champion r just in general much better but i personally feel you don't need to have skins. if you want em so bad buy them. I bought em cause i think it is neat to have them and i have extra money to spare.

You don't understand an example do you? lol. It was literally an example i coulda said katarina or nasus or whatever. Regardless if you want a skin stop being a cheap and buy them. you don't NEED them if you want to be "cool" or "look nice" spend some money if not stop crying over them not all being free for you. The game itself is already free why should skins? look at other mobas or at least heros. only one skin from them is buyable with in game money and you have to be max level on the hero and that takes a while. the rest cost money. Heros is the only moba other then league i play so only reason i know that not sure bout others.

Not everyone would like a champion skin, that is coming out, so not everyone should or could grind for it.

And you can still buy skins with money so...

You left out the most important reason not to introduce free skins -

A lot of people have already paid tons of money for skins and they'd essentially be getting screwed if it was suddenly possible to buy them with IP.

Heres my thoughts on the free skin, To me I will never demand/ask riot for free skins (I Like free things, but they already gave me this game for free). Yet, riot is good about free things, seeing as for good behavior this past winter they gave free skin, and the pool party gave free champs (with facebook) and we got close to the mundo skin. When I see people asking riot for free skins, I just think its silly because they do have some events that give free things and I dont want to demand the one thing (besides LCS) that gives them money.

DOES THE HEXATECH crafting tool means that riot would stop suporting his game or its just that they want to give us free skins all time, how much lifespan will have lol, after all its runin since 2009, the new hexatech craft tool will mean, that in 2017 this game will be dead or what or riot just want us to improve comunity by giving us free skins, for playin and making great games? wo does it know, maybe this game will be dead next year becuase riot suport will end... now that i just started playin it would be a waste and now with the free skins...
