Leaver Buster for DCs

So I live in Newfoundland Canada and like alot of northern/eastern places I have terrible connection to the NA server. Recently I've been warned and punished by the new Leaver Buster system for DCing or having my game crash. It's bad enough not being able to play the game competitively due to 150 ping but now the game makes you agree that it was your fault (leaving the game). Please Riot either tweak the Leaver Buster to where it forgives accidental Leaves or make a new server. I mean I live in north america so its really frustrating that only a small part of NA has decent connections.

Instead of automatically blaming it on Riot. Check your internet connection thoroughly, check your PC.

Do some experiments: Try to play Lol on a better-performing PC, with your same internet connection - is the ping still there?

Try to play LoL on your PC with a different ISP (college internet, library, etc.): Is the ping different?

Once you can truly rule out your own factors, then you can blame RIot.

Riot already said if you frequently disconnect for long periods of time, it is your fault and not theirs. They've said it many, many times on the Boards.

My internet is fine, just a few bumps during peak hours, but it's stable most of the time. However, the new map's taking a toll on my interweb :(

While disconnects are not always a fault of the player, Riot's response is geared towards helping players who do not have these issues and are plagued by those who do. It is unfortunate that we cannot all have the perfect internet connection, but such is life. You have chosen to continue playing online games even with a provider that is apparently unreliable. At what point does it become your own fault for choosing to play online when you know that your ISP is incapable of providing the service required. Ultimately, the D/C DOES affect players negatively, whether or not you are the one responsible for it.
