Rank Question! Also Info for DUO Partner!

Hello fellow players! I have a quick question and maybe some of you may be able to help me out! I was looking online and couldn't quite find the answer to a small question. Lets say I get to Plat 2 this season and with a string of bad luck is it possible to still get demoted to Gold 1 from Plat 5? If so will I get the banner since I reached that tear even if I sunk down by the time the end season hits? Now onto looking for a partner!

My Elo is currently Silver level but I play on a Gold level. At the time of writing this I am B1 heading into Silver 5 ( It seems everyone was placed in Bronze this time for placements) Looking to reach G1/P4 by end of season. I don't rage and I expect everyone to learn from their mistakes including myself! I main Jungle / Top / Support and want some friends to Q with as my only IRL friend only Qs from time to time with me due to different timing with work and school. My in game name is Tithemi .
