PBE vs LIVE

I am noticing a huge difference in the attitude of players on PBE vs people on the Live server. A good amount of people on the Live server are very rude. I see a huge change when i go to PBE. Nobody ever fights over which lane and position they are in and I see way, way less afk's. I have talked to quite a few people on PBE about this matter and everyone seems to have a better experience on PBE with other players. I hope these new changes you guys are doing will help peoples performances and addittudes.

Does anyone have any suggestions on what Riot can do to bring a better experience to all players?

Keep in mind those playing in PBE aren't getting that overwhelming sensation that you're working towards something as you would on live (ranked, working toward challenger) but still provides all the play experience we've come to love. Naturally, without that need to dominate and be "the best" like every video game has ever taught us, people tend to be more sociable, polite, and don't mind losing nearly as much.

Also, PBE allows for a select group of players to test out riot's ideas first and foremost before anyone else on live does.

There are a few reasons. First and foremost, the attitude is lighter because there's less pressure to win on the PBE. Another contributing factor is the PBE approval process, which probably filters out most of the toxic players.

What the other guys said and if you're being toxic you're out of the PBE. Simple as that. It doesn't quite work as easily when it comes to the live servers, because that's where they make their money. For that reason, they have less harsh methods of dealing with toxicity in the forms of warnings, bans, etc.

Another thing about PBE I want to throw is in most players on PBE seem to simply go "Oh, well it's just pbe so now we know this doesn't work" when they lose. And everyone accepts that. It's one big learning experience. God forbid you try to learn something on normal matches on live, though. "Hey I'm trying to practice jungle" and at least 1 person will be increasingly angry with everything you do because it doesn't directly benefit them and make them feel better. Seriously, like I could go on live, do ANYTHING, and someone will have a problem with it, but I could go on PBE and try to solo baron at level 3 as AP support nasus and everyone will be cool with it and just watch and laugh.

tl;dr PBE for sense of learning and fun, live for sense of victory and importance. Which is slowly killing the community.
