The problem with adding assists to the post-game minimap would be how it would be done. Assists don't really matter when it comes to the end game (due to it not giving much gold) so there is really no point in putting it into the end game minimap.
The point of the post-game mini map is to see where the kills happened, right? Well, the assists are all going to be right in the some area, barring the use of a global ult. I think it'd just be pointless clutter, and I'm a support/jungle main. All I do is assist.

Champion Kills is one of two drop-downs on the mini-map; Building Kills, the other. You don't select Building Kills do you? Then don't select Assists. It's pointless if you don't care about seeing Assists and you select it from the drop-down. You'll never be bothered by it. I promise. But you'd select it after playing the BananaQueen wouldn't you? Or Ashe. Admit it. Just admit it.

That's not much of a problem. Put Assists in the mini-map drop-down with the Champion Kills & Building Kills selections. If you don't wanna see ur assists or anyone else's, don't select it.
If either of y'all got better arguments against viewing Assists in the post-game, bring it. Your arguments right here, they stink like Amumu's sack.
