Feedback on the Quinn rework in the 2016 Pre-season Patch

I never posted before but i feel that I need to say this. The new Quinn rework is awful, I use to main Quinn, I played her ADC, Top and even Jungle successfully. Every true Quinn player will tell you that they LOVED the fact that she was an ADC that could turn into a bird assassin and burst down a player out of position, or use her ult to escape when split pushing or just the unique nature of the champion in general. Now it feels like you took away all that made Quinn fun to play. I can understand the removal of Blinding Assault, I can live with that... but why replace it with something her kit already has?! Now she has a passive that applies a mark on her target, her Q that applies a mark and her E that applies a mark as well... and her ult is an out of combat mobility utility... Am I the only one that finds this seriously boring?!

You want players to pick Quinn more; I can guarantee you that everyone that use to play Quinn as religiously as I did, will no longer play Quinn, and the rest of the community won't pick her because she just isn't as fun and brings nothing truly rewarding to the table. She will have less people playing her than she did before, mark my words.

I hope that in a year Riot will have collected enough information on the matter to see for themselves that this rework is terrible... and hopefully bring back some form of the Quinn I use to enjoy playing with every night.

This will probably be ignored like all the other Quinn related opinions of the community. But I remain hopeful.

I hate the fact that they gutted her ult. I loved it when I could be attacking at 2+ attack speed and then execute their carry. Now I can't do that. They say Quinn is a burst champ. Her ult is basically going to be used to get to lane. Her ult is now extremely boring.

The 2 main problems with old Quinn was that she brought very little to team fights and her late game damage was on the lower end for ADCs. Rito's solution? Lets eliminate her burst/assassination quality and make her ult utility? Let's nerf her escape? Oh but its ok cause we can give her 4 more base ad and her q can do a little extra damage if the enemy is low. OH WAIT! That's too OP! lets make the hit box small too. Who designed this crappy rework?

I loved old Quinn's play style despite her weaknesses, because she was fun to play and I liked that punish for catching someone out or chasing someone down. After less than a full day of the rework being out, I didn't even think it was possible but she is WEAKER and not even fun to play anymore. Why couldn't they have gone with like a Nidalee transformation (with some changes) and still allowed Valor to be a part of the game?

One of my favorite champions is now someone I wish I could refund, just so I don't get stuck with her in ARAM. Please re-rework Rito.

IMHO, they gimped her, badly. Here are my reasons why I say that:

  1. Her lore suggests she is a scout, not an assassin. This means no ganking. Just Mid or top. Bottom has never really been her thing, even though I have tried her on bottom.
  2. No more Valor attacks. He is now an over-glorified taxi with Lulu's giant ability when picking up Quinn to ferry her everywhere. This gimps her seriously. I would like to see the Valor attacks return. If anything they could have him attack in conjunction with her E when she vaults, like a double-team on the champ she is attacking. When using W, he can fly over a designated area to discover hidden champs and traps.
  3. The 2-second delay when summoning Valor is extremely dangerous unless she summons him while in a bush or straight out of the gate. Two seconds is enough time for any other champ to melt you like an ice-cream cone in 100 degree weather. This does nothing for disengaging in order to get her out of harms way. Sure you have flash and ghost, but when you have an ult that turns you into a freakin' bird, well... Oh, yeah, she can't do that anymore.
  4. Harrier on the first person she hits with Q is fine, but this means a lot more positioning so the shot isn't wasted. Not that I mind skill shots. It adds something to the game, skill.
  5. They did nothing really noticeable with Heightened Senses. Being a scout, she needed the ability to detect traps as well as hidden enemies in the brush. That is part of a scout's job.
  6. They have made her way too reliant on having to mark her opponent in order to do substantial damage. With both her Q and E marking, you can really pummel someone, but you have to be in range to do so, and even though she is a marksman, her range is short compared to other marksmen.

I love the fact that she could do either top or mid before. Now, with her mobility, she is pretty much stuck mid, which sucks since Viktor is her Kryptonite and plays mid as well.

Quinn went from one of the more interesting marksman to the most boring with this rework. Like you said, her passive, Q and E all do the same thing and her ult is not useful anymore. Riot is clearly not interested in this character at all.

She was my favourite to play top, so it's pretty disappointing.

I cried after I played her. no blind , no chase down ability , she's horrible and was once one of my fav's , between her , Kali and varus . I played her top , n bot , Idk wtf riot was talking about her not being a adc champ or whatever.. That's cause no 1 took the time out to learn her. And I enjoyed the fact she wasn't a champ that wasn't played so much..Cause when you find a good Quinn.. like the old song say's.. You've not seen nothing like the mighty Quinn lol.. ya no more.. R.I .P. Quinn u will be missed
