How often do you get your first pick in Dynamic Queue?

I ask this because I rarely do and I feel like it's negatively impacting my Ranked performance. Granted, I am a Mid main and I understand that it is one of the most popular roles, at the moment. Still, it seems to me that the whole point of creating a system in which you manually select your favored role(s) before every match is to allow you to actually play what you want. Instead, I am getting assigned to my Secondary choice at least 2/3 of the time.

Again, I get that Mid is highly contested, but why can't I just wait in queue longer like you do in MMORPGs for dungeons? I really don't mind waiting longer if it means I can play the role I am most successful with. Perhaps I'm off-base with this or just don't understand the deeper nuances of the Dynamic Queue, but this has been really frustrating. Anyone else experiencing the same? Thoughts on the DQ?

I main support...so I would give it a comfy 90% of the time I get my first pick.

If you can't master more then one role, then sorry bud you don't belong in Ranked :/

Mid/Supp Not that often.

Keep in mind, I play in EUW, maybe the system's tuning and/or the community are different.

I usually pick Top/Jung (when I want to climb) or Mid/Top (when I want to lose with Annie), and I'd say I get my first choice 75% of the time, maybe even more than that.

Clearly you don't get the sarcasm so I'll give you a secret. Pick mid as your second role and you get whatever you want 99% of the time.

Being a mid/support I can tell you I am getting lots of practice in support. I'd say 80% of the time I Q instantly and get support. But honestly, I'm pretty happy that I get mid 20% of the time. Comparing my success to good old draft, including if I got top pick, I got mid at about the same frequency.

Being a jungle and top main and chosen in that order I'd say 65% of the time I'll get jungler. Sometimes more. Mid is extremely hard to get since is its the most popular role in game so I would imagine you'd get secondary alot

Since I have actually kept track...

Over 38 games I have gotten Support 94.74% of the time.

Primary: Support Secondary: Mid
