Eliminate Spam Bots

There has been an ever growing problem with spam bots in League of Legends. It started off with maybe once a month a random friend add would come, but for me at least, it is now to the point that I'm getting 1-3 daily. This could be easily (I suppose depending on how the chat system was implemented, it could be difficult) fixed. Really all it needs is certain friend-add restrictions.

This would start with not allowing anything, lets say, below level 3 to add friends.

Obvious Concerns: Now wait, how do I add my friends who got me into this game to my list? Let lower levels still accept friend requests. What about the friends I make in games? Let friends still be added in post-game lobby for level 3 or lower.

This would have a huge impact on spam bots, making everyone ever happy.

How long do you think it would take to spam co-op matches using a botting program to hit lvl 5?

I figure it's probably about 4 games per account. With a complex enough set-up, you could probably run a team of 5 accounts up to lvl 5 in a matter of a couple hours, before setting them off to spamming.

That's not to say that you don't have a great start to addressing the problem, here. But it's certainly not going to completely eliminate the problem by itself.

Its a minor annoyance to me honestly, but that doesn't mean I don't want it to stop happening. I will log in to LoL usually at least once a day and I'd say 5 out of the 7 days of the week I will get 1-3 (Once I had 4) friend requests all from spam bots. In the beginning I used to check and search their names just to see if they were level 1s. They were of course. I don't even bother anymore, I just don't accept friend requests unless I recognize the name from a previous game or if it was one I was expecting.

I've thought about starting a list and adding each name to it when I get a new friend request to submit a ticket to Riot, but I honestly don't want to waste the time.

I know its something Riot really doesn't have a lot of control over, but anything would be appreciated.

yeah I get this problem a lot as well, every time I log on it's "LOLuser12312123213213 wants to be your friend". my god is it obnoxious, I don't want to buy your illegal RP NOW GET OFF LEAGUE.

Basically just do not add any one who you don't know or you didn't add.
