Problems updating

2 Day ago I was trying to update my league and it was a 175.9 mb update. It reached to 175.9 mb but it didn't stop it keep updating to 1000 mb then it said error you need 8 gb. Why would I need 8 gb to update 175.9 mb I can make space but it doesn't make sense. Anyone know anything, would really appreciate any help.
