Poor Quality of League Community

I've been playing league of legends quite a bit lately and have noticed a huge spike in toxicity, verbal harassment between players, slurs against people of various groups based on sex, religion, race, etc. Nearly every game that I'm in has some sort of abuse against respective teammates or enemy teams and I would call on league of legends to more harshly punish (and take seriously) those whom are being reported for negative behaviors. Playing a game with the intention of having fun through cooperating with a team of like minded individuals whom also enjoy playing online games should not devolve down into a game of ten 7 year old children all fighting over the red crayon in the crayon box.

League of legends is an awesomely designed game, and I would call on your system to more thoroughly regulate the sheer avalanche of negative behaviors that are exhibited and reported upon instead of these same individuals being allowed to plague our community. People whom display negative behavior constantly portray the belief that being reported for their negative actions is a joke that won't be regulated by the monitoring system that is currently in place.

I hope that if others are experiencing the same issues that they might chime in as well as an example of how widespread this problem truly is.

Thank you for your consideration and time in reading this Sincerely, Your Mother.

I think if a player has a high report average Riot needs to flag and take the steps needed. They need to act a system that lets you dodge a QUEUE if someone wants to troll. And a way to report trolling after the game

The toxicity of the riot community is that thing in psychology.

You know, where the boss yells at their employee, and then the employee goes home and beats his wife, and then the wife scolds her son, who then kicks their dog.

League of legends persistently has lag issues and other problems that go unchecked by riot (because they don't have to care, and exercise that right religiously), and because riot doesn't care about everyone's daily issues with league of legends, people start getting frustrated with the game. And when they get frustrated with the game, they start raging at everyone else playing the game who isn't currently having the same problems as them. And when people start getting teams that are toxic towards them more frequently, they too start becoming more toxic when they go to play their next game and so on. It's hard to have your team consistently yell at each other and not work together, and then not want to yell at them yourself.

People need an outlet to vent their frustration. In league of legends, because problems are never fixed or resolved and because riot plays a very inactive role in the community, the only outlet in game is to scream and yell death threats at the other players, because making everyone else feel bad helps relieve the rager of their built up stress and frustration.

Just like the employee that goes home and beats his wife!

Of course, it's the employees fault for not having self-control. But then you wonder... doesn't everyone have a breaking point? And couldn't the employee beating his wife be prevented if something was done about the employee's asshole boss? And couldn't the employee's asshole boss probably be a lot nicer if something wasn't stuck so deep in his ass? And wouldn't things not get stuck so deep in peoples ass if that problem was just fixed and ended so the world would be a better place for everyone? NO. BECAUSE NO ONE CARES TO THINK THAT MUCH.

There is a lot of people like this that make an otherwise enjoyable game a miserable experience where you will have that one guy who goes out of his way to not help you and even stoop to take from your own resources and efforts and complain about your sub optimal performance as if it should come as a surprise. They'll spend as much time complaining and harassing you as playing. And they will say "Go ahead report me" because they do this all the time and they get reported all the time and they are still playing still doing it.

It's a game where players on the same team compete against each other over the resources they need to have fun.

Why are you expecting a positive community?

That's (the) one thing Blizzard got right with HotS. In that game, their gain is your gain (as opposed to your loss).
