@Riot - Is it better to have 1000 wins, or reaching the next ranked tier?

It's a pretty legit question. I've reached Gold V a month ago, when I used to be bronze three two months before the end of the season. Now I'm sitting here with 999 normal wins in total, and it's also pretty nice to reach that benchmark number. My opinion is that having a ranked stat does appear to be better/legit in skill according to your tier(most of the time), while having that many wins does provide that you have a substantial amount of experience in playing league. Any rioters willing to share some opinions or go premade with me for the 1k wins? :3
