Unfair Punishments

Why is it when myself and anyone else that has had the same problems get punished for leaving a queue when 3 people in champselect start agruing then say they are just going to feed to make each other lose and chose ADC champions to jungle and so forth just to lose on purpose, so i decided im just going to leave so im not stuck with a loss for immature kids that can't grow up, but now im stuck with a wait time for my next game. Thankfully i only had to wait 5 minutes but the fact i still was punished is absurd.

The penalty for dodging is minimal so that you can occasionally dodge. If it was too light or nonexistent, then people would dodge too much and the queue times would be drastically increased, and also the dodgers causing it would have better win rates (because they leave if they don't get what they want) and the people not ruining the queue times would suffer even more for it.

The 5 minute timer benefits you greatly and you don't even comprehend it.
