NA West and NA East server proposal - Open Letter to Riot

Dear Riot,

My name's Matchbox10 and I'm originally from Vancouver, Canada. Ever since the server change from Portland to Chicago I and my friends in Vancouver have been getting much higher ping counts than before, whilst in Portland it was only 30-35 and it's now around the 75 mark. After moving to the UK for a few months and making an EUW account I was greeted with the 35 ms ping that I had before. And jesus do you notice the difference. Now we all know that having the NA server on the West Coast was unfair to East Coast people, however I now feel that it has swung the other way in that it is now unfair for West Coasters as Chicago is further away from the West Coast than the East. The solution of having it in Chicago is obviously not ideal as it has created more latency for West Coasters which is, as we all know too well, detrimental to the game.

So why isn't there an NA West and NA East server like there is in Europe? Hell Europe has 4 servers (EUW, EU East & Nordic, Russia, and Turkey) yet its a smaller continent (size wise) than NA and it isn't even Riot's prime market (probably, don't quote me on that). Anyway I really don't understand why we don't have more than one server in NA, and I think that that should be changed.
