Demotion Series?

I get really upset when upon having a few bad games you hit 0LP and you're so worried that if you lose the next game you'll be demoted or nothing will happen. I've seen people lose 5+ games at 0LP before being demoted and some lose 1 game. Can we get a demotion series where upon hitting 0LP if we lose 2/3 of our next games we are demoted but if we succeed we get 25LP or just something along those lines? I only ask because some people work so hard to climb a tier, get promoted, lose 1 game and instantly get demoted. It just seems as though it could be a tad bit more far for someone whom is trying their best to climb...

The difference in amount of games it takes at 0LP to get demoted for people is because the number of games doesn't matter. It matters how far your MMR falls below your rank. The only thing number of games matters for is demotion protection right after you get promoted.

If you are getting demoted you are well below your rank already. Protecting people from getting demoted doesn't help them climb anyway. Your LP gains will hit the floor.

Is there a way to view the MMR? I've been trying for Gold for a weeks and am bouncing between Silver 2 and Silver 1 and in the past few days I no longer have a few games at 0 before being demoted, instead, I drop to 0 points, lose one more and am demoted. Win my next 4/5 games and get promoted. Lose 2 and am demoted again. It's so frustrating to win significantly more games than I lose but a 2 loss streak at an inopportune moment ruins everything.
