What happens if i send a skin to a friend that already has that skin?

Well.. if you didn't understand the question i will explain it a little better, i wanted to send a skin to a friend of mine as a surprise but i don't know if he already has it or not. I want to know what would happen if i send him a skin that he already has. If someone could explain this, would be appreciated.

in the store it shouldn't have the option to send them that skin

It won't let you if they have it already, so you should have no problem surprising them! :)

Check in the send a skin, if it doesn't show up they either A. Don't own the champion, or B. Already have the skin :)
