Why is poachers knife so bad.

I don't really understand why poachers knife is even an item... I have never seen somebody build it. It seems like rangers trailblazer, skirmishers, and stalker blade are just so much better. Pretty much all this item does is halve the time of the cooldown for scavenging smite if smite is used on an enemy jungler's large monster camp... This item literally is useless. It is not viable and i would actually like to see riot make this item be able to be used without looking stupid for buying it.

I kind of agree... to a less extreme extent. I agree that it doesn't provide much use. I've seen someone build it once recently, and he got shit on. I think the idea of it is better than the item itself.

If a jungler gets it though, he has to make most of his early game money from the enemy jungle. The enemy team should catch on pretty quickly that this is the reason he's always there, and they should be able to counter it quickly.

But yeah, it's meh. I wouldn't buy it.

The problem with the item is that if you get it you are basically saying "I'm going to be in your jungle" to the other team. And if they deny you from getting into their jungle its not a cost effective item.

I think the 4th jungle item should be something that helps junglers with sustain. Like maybe an item that when you use smite you get increased health and mana regen for a bit. This would give us 2 pvp and 2 pve jungle items that all had their role.
