I got reported for no reason.

I got reported for no reason from my previous game. I got 2 more chat restrictions added on because of this report and a warning about causing ruckess or w.e that thing is that pops up. Honestly I don't even think I deserve the 15 chat restrictions I got, but getting 2 added on because somebody reported me, probably because I reported them, is ridiculous.

Well he said.

"you take my position then you fucking suck"

I was 2-1 at this point

later in the game.

"I SHOULD FUCKING REPORT YOU."

with i replied, "I'm going to report you."

So yeah I did.

Okay. Sorry you had a rough game with someone.

Unfortunately threatening to report someone is considered toxic, so the extension on your chat restriction was deserved. In the future you should just report people without threatening them about it.

There was no threat, I carried it out. It was simply informing him. So telling a toxic person I'm going to report them is toxic? That is dumb logic my friend.

A threat is a threat, whether you follow through on it or not.

And yes. Making a bad situation worse by bringing in new threats is considered toxic.

I don't know who you are to make claims on what toxic is. It was not a threat. It was telling him the outcome for cussing me out when he didn't like my playing. If you think that is a threat then you need to learn a few things.

I'm not making claims about what toxic is. I'm explaining to you Riot's stance. Getting defensive about that isn't going to help your case here.

The definition of threat is: "an expression of intention to inflict evil, injury, or damage."

By that definition, telling someone you're going to report them qualifies as a threat, as it is a statement of intention to inflict injury on their account.

Threatening people, by Riot's standards (and those of society, by and large) is considered to be toxic. It fosters negativity, both between the persons involved, and among those who are merely witnesses.

Telling somebody I'm going to report them is not labeled under evil, injury, or damage. It is labeled as justice. This is not a threat, it is telling them their behavior is going to cause me to report them. I'm not getting defensive, the time has already past and this thread served its purpose. I'm just trying to inform you that you are wrong.

Okay. I'll merely note one last time, then, that I am not speaking about my own opinion here, but about Riot's stance on the matter. And I've plenty of statements from them to back up my claim.

In essence, what you're saying is not that I am wrong, but that Riot is wrong. About the way that they view toxicity. Which is silly, I think.

I assume the "warning about causing ruckess" you mention refers to the in-client pop-up warnings.

Those in-client pop-up warnings are not triggered by single reports, but by a spike in reports representing an unusually high number of reports issued in an unusually short amount of a time for your account.

They also are not displayed immediately after being triggered, but instead have a delay of some unknown amount of time/games before they show up.

In short: You did not receive that warning for that game.

It's reasonable to therefore assume that you did not receive the additional restrictions purely for that game, either.

It was after a single report. I got a warning before and later on I received the current restrictions that I have. I only played today with those restrictions and there is literally no reason for somebody to report me in any of those games.

Whether or not there was a reason is irrelevant. People can - and sometimes do - report for reasons you wouldn't consider, or for reasons you wouldn't know, or for no reason at all. The punishment systems account for this, and so they are of no real consequence, but the system that determines when to issue a pop-up warning doesn't account for it.

And unless you'd never been reported before, there's no way that a single report could have triggered a pop-up. I'm not sure it would, even then.

Regardless, I can guarantee that you did not receive that pop-up for the game it arrived after. That's just not how the system works.

If you think the system is perfect you are rather blind. People complain about the system all the time, and Lyte has even admitted to false punishments. In fact I just logged in and found those 2 previous added restrictions are gone. So I guess I am right and you are wrong? Also, you do not know how the system works. Please do not make claims on knowing how the system works. No one other than those who moderate it actually know how it works.

people threaten to report me every other game but I haven't gotten any type of ban in game yet (been playing since the middle of S1).

I even fight back quite violently sometimes (apparently not often enough?) when someone starts crying like a little bitch and still nothing. this pretty much means that you're probably human garbage.
