Is there a way to change norms mmr?

I normally play league with a group of my friends ranging from bronze 4 to silver 1, I am currently plat 3. I think because of this when i head into solo norm's games I'm generally placed against bronze-gold players, rarely ever a plat, almost never a diamond. The issue that shows up is that playing norms against people below my skill level isn't much fun, and definitely isn't very good practice for ranked. But whenever i queue up i find myself playing against people in constantly lower divisions. In ranked this problem doesn't exist, only it norms. Is there any way to bring my norms elo back up to my skill level that doesn't involve ignoring friends?

The same thing happens when I play normal games with my friends; I'm Platinum and they are Bronze/Silver-ish MMR too.

I'd probably recommend you take the chance to practice champions and/or roles you don't normally play. It tends to even out the skill difference somewhat when you are playing off-roles or unfamiliar champions.

This won't really help your solo MMR though. I generally don't worry about it since mine is about the same as my Ranked MMR (if not a bit higher).

All I can recommend regarding that is to play normal games by yourself more frequently until your MMR climbs.
