@IronStylus The Community Beta

So I was goofing off in the forums for fun this evening and I saw the whole fiasco with you and the GD people. Thanks to some well placed links I managed to find the source of the nonsense and would like to point out a few things that you and the rest of Riot may not realize (and before you pass this thread up I'm just stating things from my own perspective. I belong to the FF forums and nothing else).

1. **You said several things to piss off some folks. ** Now granted I am very good at this just by existing but I always try to watch what I say. Instead of trying to persuade someone you have never met face-to-face and have no idea what they are like to do something they may or may not want to do you should have just commented on the idea at heart. Now the forums are ablaze just over those 7 posts.
2. **This format seems like social media instead of community forums. ** If I really wanted to go back into social media I would reactivate my facebook. Though I'm only speaking for me, the format here in beta isn't all that great and not very appealing. The original forums are a lot easier for me to follow compared to this which looks more like a news feed, something I don't want to put up with.
3. If you don't like the forums, then don't post there. You think that the beta is awesome. I dig that. I don't like it, therefore I won't use it. I'll just stay in my corner with the rest of the FF writers. But don't go to someplace else if you hate it and stir up trouble. If you find something that is interesting just comment on the matter at hand and don't force this thing upon them.

Before anyone tries to criticize me I don't do social media. Never made a twitter, deleted my facebook, and I have a reddit I never use. I am also not a member of the GD forum, but that of the FF one. We don't have many problems outside of the ships we hate seeing and the random non-fanfic thread that gets shot down immediately. I am also not posting here to cause even more problems, just stating a viewpoint from the outside. I am also posting this for Stylus who apparently only uses the beta forum (which is why he was in GD).

Though the community is toxic there are good people out there. The key is to observe who are the bad apples and who are the honest and legit people.
