Give me a break. [DDoS rant/vent]

I don't normally do 'vent' posts. But this is ridiculous.

I want to try out Team Builder. Queue up Janna support, things are gonna be cool. Finally find a jungler, game starts.

My screen remains black.

That is, until the message pops up informing me of an issue with my 'firewall'. I am completely positive my firewall allows League, this is a fact. Turns out it's because of the DDoS attacks, and a bunch of people are getting them.

to Self: "Hmm.. I like learning. What exactly IS a DDoS attack?" TO WIKIPEDIA!

I learn about distributed denial of service attacks, and, upon a little more digging, the group responsible for PhantomL0rd's 'thing' a while back. Y'know what I'm talking about.

Literally, this group, Derp (Yep. That's their name. What are you, twelve years old?), is a bunch of douchebags that break games for fun. I found a laundry list of games they broke, everything from my precious League, to DotA 2, to RuneScape, even to the extent of encouraging the respected streamer to play Club Penguin- which they promptly, you guessed it, brought down. For Teh Lulz. They also ordered a bunch of pizza to his house. Yep. again, seriously... I'm thinking 12 years old is too high.

Seriously? For Teh Lulz. That's their explanation. GROW UP. I'm all for freedom of speech and all, but this is beyond stupid. Want to know what a toddler does when it's pissed for a silly reason? It breaks things. As an adult, hell, a YOUNG adult- if I have an issue with someone, I'm expected to 1) have an issue with them for a reason, and 2) deal with my issues in a moderately responsible manner. This does not include breaking everything in sight.

Are you trying to be a Joker figure, Derp? Is that your goal? Because see, the Joker did things for 'teh lulz'. But he was a villain. He killed people. Because he was utterly crazy in the head. You're not villains. You're just being assholes, following the modus operandi of a toddler.

He was also a fictional character.

At any rate, if you haven't rolled your eyes and left yet, thanks for reading my rant. Hopefully we'll hear some response from riot eventually that the DDoS attacks have ceased.
