I understand keeping people entertained on climbing through the divisions but I literally spent all last year climbing to gold just to be put back to where I was. I could understand if I did bad in my placement matches to drop me a few divisions but from g4 to s4 is just for winning 7/10 is brutal
Same here, exact same.
I'm pretty sure they changed the formula this year to (current mmr + 800)/2 + 25/win - 25/loss
Which means you can't get higher than s3 if you're at g4.
Horrible, lazy, and embarrassing for a $1.5b/yr company and growing to still have such a poor matchmaking algorithm and system. But, alas, here we are.
If you got to Gold before, you can easily get it again, plus you should be getting 20+ LP per game. If you play well consistently you'll be back in Gold in no time.
