How does duoing effect MMR?
Recently Ive been duoing with my Gold 5 friend as a Plat 3, and op.gg says my mmr is about 300 lower than where it should be, does this directly effect me and my lp gains or losses in any way?

Well... you tell us! Are you gaining as much LP from wins as you do when you duo with your friend as when you solo?
I'd expect you to probably gain somewhat less LP and MMR from duoing when you're significantly higher-MMR than your duo partner, since the average MMR of the opposing team should be lower than your MMR. But because of the MMR bonus applied to group queues it'll be closer to your MMR than your friend's.
