Why was Songs of the Summoned & Summoner's Showcase removed?

Does anyone know why Riot stopped hosting Songs of the Summoned events? It just seems like they focus 100% on Koreans and LCS now rather than community. Frankly, I'd buy these songs before buying a 'real' song from a band or the radio. Just my opinion and preference, but I've just been asking since I noticed there wouldn't be a season 4 for SotS.

Quick side note, what happened to Summoner's Showcase?...

I'll leave a poll with as many options as possible so that everyone that's interested(or not interested!) can voice their opinion!
