@Riot Lyte What's up with this?

Recently tried to log on to one of my smurf accounts (This account: NormanBaits) to make sure it hadn't decayed out of plat so that I'd still get my border at the end of the season. To my surprise, it said I was banned until the 13th of November. I took a visit to LolKing to see when exactly was the last time I played a game on that account. 2 weeks ago. And the time before that? 4 weeks ago. I've played only 2 games on that account in over a month. A 14 day ban that expires on the 13th of November means my ban had to have started October 31st. Now LolKing doesn't tell me the exact day I played last, but that is still less than 2 weeks ago.

I remember the game 2 weeks ago very clearly. I was toxic, and you are more than welcome to post the logs. It was a Normal game on Summoner's Rift. I was playing with a friend who isn't level 30 yet and is still very new. He wasn't playing well, our team was flaming him, so I came to his defense. Anyways... I'm not trying to defend or argue that.

I am wondering though, why did I receive a 14 day ban for 1 game of toxicity? Why didn't I receive a chat restriction instead? Now I don't remember the exact things I said that game, so maybe they might have been completely outrageous and called for a 14 day ban. But it just seems odd that people are getting these really high game amounts of chat restriction, where I had 1 bad game in A WHOLE MONTH and got a 14 day ban. Also, why would the ban start so late? It started a week after I played my last game. How does that even make sense?

Like I said, I'm not really arguing the ban and I don't really care if it gets lifted or not, as I don't really care for this account. I've been banned on my main account multiple times fairly, and I have changed, only because I don't want to lose all that time and money I've invested on my main. You're welcome to look up the chat logs for that account too. (GaynessKhan)

I'm just looking for an explanation for your system's decisions to hand out 2 week bans instead of chat restrictions to some people.
