RIP Adeola Alabi...You Will Be Greatly Missed | Nollywood, Nigeria, News, Celebrity, Gists, Gossips, Entertainment

Addy was a long time friend for over four years, we met though a mutual friend in university and used to play league together all the time. He was my first Duo Q partner and taught me a ton about league and how to play. He helped me finally reach platinum in season 4 and played with me even when I wasn't that good and while he was a lot better then I. In a tragic turn of events he took his own life earlier this week and will me missed greatly by his friends and family and the may people he had reach out to in his life.

I find it an honor to have been friends and gotten to know the guy over these years and I already really miss him.

This was this season we were finally going to push for diamond.... in we'd both been stuck in plat one and two in the end of season 5 and leagues just never going to be quite the same for me without him. I found out though a text message a few days after it happened and the night after he passed away was the night I finally reached diamond for the first time ever. I was so excited to tell him and show him I'd finally done it... I was devastated when I heard the news.

Addy had never talked to me or any of the other guys about his depression but he always seemed to be in a friendly and uplifting mood whenever we were around him in person and whenever we played league , he made a lot of jokes and had a really unique sense of humor. He rarely ever got mad or upset with you over a lose or in a game even when I threw his Plat 1 promos... sorry Addy

I was kind of a dick to him in this past week playing with him to be honest. He was having a long streak of really bad games and I felt like he didn't care or wasn't trying as much so I teased him and made fun of a lot of his plays.. I know he didn't take it seriously but I still feel awful knowing I could have left off with the guy in better terms I just never knew he was in much a bad state of mind. One of the last things he said before he passed was this:

"There is more to life than hatred and rage, no one is to blame, live and be free, exist without constraints and fight for what is right. Do that for me, may i live on forever in your hearts. thank you for loving me :-)" - Addy

Addy you will always be remembered by those you cared for you and live on in our hearts. I'd like people to take a second even it's just the one thing you get out of this post to understand the importance of metal health and if you know anyone who is struggling try and help them and get them to reach out. It could make all the difference.

I wish there was more I could have done.. if i knew.

Something Addy used to always do was chance his summoner name in league to reference passed away Artists the died in tragic evens to promote there music and work: hence his summoner name "In memory of Paz" he changed it all the every few months. He got me really into Nujubes recently as well

In memory of Addy I'm going to see if I can reach out to riot to get his account and try to play to diamond on it. And change his name one last time to "In Memory of Addy". I know it was always a goal of his and I figure it may be small but it's one thing I could do in honor of his life.

Rest In Peace Addy. Your memory will live on in our hearts.

Sorry to hear you lost your friend. It's often the people in pain who are the most kind, because they don't want anyone else to feel the way they do :(

I miss him too. Addy was a fantastic player and my best friend. I'll never forget his stupid jokes and the biggest smile he always his on your face. I met him via discussions about League, but we shared so much time together through this game and so many other platforms. I hope your memory lives on in so many ways through all of the people you've helped. I wish more people had the chance to get to know you, but I'm sure you're much happier wherever you are now..

Rest in Peace.
