Let's discuss Riot Games.

I really think Riot Games has gone to shit ages ago, lies and deceit from the staff time and time again and contradicting themselves, new shitty map that no one likes yet they won't do nothing about because Riot operates like a steamroller if you like it good, if you don't you can go fuck yourself who are you to tell them how they can improve their work, hiring Team Siren which totally doesn't have a sexist anti-male name, being the shitty feminists they are I can't believe any normal human being would buy into that shit, Marc Merill wonders why Kotaku is giving League of Shit good coverage, I think it's because they're paying money to Chris Plante and his Polygon crew there is even evidence of this if you look it up, It's funny how people still think it's a choice to play either Dota or LoL, at least Valve cares about their players, the only thing league cares about is pleasing their Chinese overlords.

tl;dr: I wish I can go back in time and not spend a penny.

I've only been playing for a year or so, so that may be the reason I don't share your opinion.

I think they are doing great things, but I'd love to see them do two things:

  1. Find an east coast ping solution.

  2. Have less of an agenda when it comes to buffs/nerfs. They admitted to it essentially being a popularity contest, with the whole Lee Sin thing.

I'm going to guess you're a part of Gamergate.

Okay... let's be blunt here...

I think you're completely full of crap. There is no logic to this OP at all. Riot has rescinded numerous changes due to feedback, such as the Lee Sin changes Doll mentioned, so they're not 'just like a steamroller'. The overwhelming majority prefer the new map. It's cleaner, it has a lot of really cool visual aesthetics, and it matches the champ designs better than the old one. There are a few complaints, but everything will have a few complaints.

The two cases you have a point on are leaverbuster and the community boards. Both of those Riot seemed unwilling to listen to feedback, but that's not the company as a whole, it's two issues.

As far as the sexism complaint, I don't even know where to begin. I've never heard Riot be accused of being sexist TOWARDS women, usually the complaints are about how sexist they are with their portrayals of women. Not that I buy THOSE complaints either, but... I don't think you have a leg to stand on with this argument.

Why would Kotaku give LoL good coverage if he pays their COMPETITOR? Not saying he does, Polygon reporters are generally well known for their ethics, but why would him paying a Polygon reporter give him better coverage at their direct competitor?

And it amuses me that you think Valve cares. They're a business too - all they care about is lining gabe's enormous pockets with gold just like Riot cares about Tencent. Hell, Valve doesn't even have any customer service staff, but yep - they care. They care so much. No, they don't. They're a business, like all others. Businesses exist to make money because making money is what allows businesses to exist. You're deluding yourself if you think the business itself cares.

EMPLOYEES at the business can care, and I imagine employees at both Riot and Valve care. But the business itself exists to make money.
