Ranked Issue (Tips Needed)

I'm always scared of ranked for numerous reasons, namely the gigantic LP loss vs gain, who you're going to be paired up with and the list goes on. There are so many factors to tanked that it's really ridiculous to name them all. I want to seek help but I don't know where to start but by simply asking this, "How do accomplish ranked victories?" Keep in mind I want to use some of these tips if any show up. I'm currently in Silver 5 with 0 LP unfortunately because of 2 AFKs in a row (am I the only one with the AFK issue?). I feel like ranked is either "I want to improve at the game but I'm clearly not or I have 0 clue at what I'm doing" or "there's this issue and that issue and what's up with this and that and how do I fix it" So please post some tips if anyone sees this. Please?
