Recent Server Lag?

A few friends and i have been experiencing REALLY bad server lag lately. (Like 1500 ping bad). It would be a completely different story if we were on LAN, as obviously that would indicate we didn't have the bandwidth to carry the game 3 times over on one network. But, considering one of my friends lives a few blocks away, and the other lives all the way in Oregon, i was just curious if there is currently a patch being applied or something. It's not like crippling lag to where i have to AFK to spare myself ripping out my hair (rhymes babyyy), but it's just intensely frustrating losing a game you know you could've won, all because you couldn't move you character out of the fountain.

TL;DR - Any1 else been lag recent?
