IS The Riot design team avoiding black females?

In total we have 42 female champions. a Diverse range of females one could say...

Of which 21 are "normal" white females. Akali Annie Ashe Caitlyn Diana Fiora Irelia Janna Jinx Katarina Leblanc Leona Lux MissFortune Quinn Riven Sejuani Sona Vayne Vi Syndra

Of which 7 are "animal-like" or "possed by power" Ahri .Cassiopeia Elise Lissandra Nami Shyvana Zyra

of which 4 are tanned or brown.. or possibly "black"... Sivir Illaoi Karma Nidalee

of which 3 are "midgets" or yordles... Poppy Tristana Lulu

of which 4 are "other wordly" Kayle Morgana Soraka RekSai

of which 1 is "dead" Kalista

of which 1 is a "succubus"... Evelynn

of which one is a "machine" Orianna

Theres 42 females. And one more on its way, a possibly brown girl. I was excited when I heard she was from Shurima, cause we could get a cultured black female champion. But shes brown. Which is a huge step up from all the shades of which we have. But since league started... The black population of the rift is somewhat sad.

SOme people argue that Karma is black. I dunno how they came to that conclu . She from Ionia... the "asia" of Runterra. Shes brown at best.. google "indians". I feel the same way about Nidalee and Illaoi. Nidalee might be some "Beyonce" type black female. But lord knows. And Illaoi might be in a similair boat. POINT IS... These two are the farthest thing from civilized. Illaoi worships a "drowned" god at the ass end of the world, and nidalee LIVES in a jungle.

But i suppose none of this really riots fault. Because fantasy has a way of excluding black and brown from the world. I mean if you think real quick. Humans. Elves. Dwarves. From most films or books or games. Those are generally just different shades of white. Off topic. I know.

ANYWAY!

Rito. Be the change. Sure releasing 10 black champs in a row might seem strange. But youve released 10 white champs in a row. Enough with the white. Please. There are enough.

Any critism is welcome.

"Let's make a character whos defining character trait is that they're black."

What does it matter what color are the champions?

There may be no black female champions, but there is a very badass black female in the lore.

In the end the question is really whether or not forced diversity is better than natural diversity. Each region of the world they are making is different, and has different people. Forcing a fantasy world to fit real world things like this doesn't do anything positive.

Siiiiiiiiiiiiiigh, not this again.

All you're asking is for them to create a black female Champion out of tokenship, because you found something to be upset about.

You should have added another options in the poll, namely "Yes/No, but not because of the reasons I gave."

I like how you dismissed Nidalee and Illaoi because you don't consider them "civilized" enough. I could draw parallels there but that's a can of worms I'm not opening.

Race is not the defining trait of a champion and it never should be. Instead, they should focus on creating characters with interesting personalities, histories and play-styles/kits.

There is no reason for Riot to create a champion of a specific race solely to have a champion of that race.

If that character happens to fit a particular race, then they happen to fit that race. That's it.

Well Karma and Illaoi are the only black female champs at the moment, and while I don't think it's that important, it would be nice to see a couple more. I really thought given the name that Taliyah would have been black though.. riot throwing them curve balls xD.

Well Akali and Ahri are more likely to be Asian.

What do you think about adding more Asian champions like LeeSin MasterYi Shen Yasuo ?

i mean i would think part of it would have to do with lore and where the champ is from

'' Is it me, or Rito is avoiding making any form of Fat, indigenous, curly redheaded and mentally challenged character??''

Idk man, can we just stop it with the fucking racial/sexual/ethnic, PC enforcement bullshit? Thank you..

Tempted to throw down the "LGBT" card down and ask why Riot doesn't create those kinds of champions to prove a point (farthest they've gone is Taric ), but it just be making a token character. Riot definitely wants to put out the best champions they can, and if a black female champion or a trans champion, I would hope it would not be because of community backlash, but because it was the best thing that was needed/necessary to the game. Ekko, for example, was a great addition because his interesting backstory and unique mechanics enhanced the game, not because his defining trait was black. If Riot Games do make a black female champion, then I would hope it would be out of creativity's sake and not community backlash based on political correctness
