CANT SPECTATE
I can't spectate games, i either get "failed to download spectator data" or "unable to connect to spectator client", anyone else have this?

This happens to me too. Sometimes I actually get all the way into spectator mode, but all the champs are frozen and nothing happens, before it gives me one of those errors and boots me back out to the client.
I've been unable to spectate for months now. I've tried random people and friends on multiple occasions, and I used to be able to spectate with no problems. I've ran the LoL repair tool in the launcher, I've re-downloaded the game, I've checked connections and read tons of forums and tried all their fix's to no avail. I can play matches all day long with no problem, but it's becoming such an annoyance. Is there anyone who knows anything about what is going on? I mean even if I cant get a fix and someone could just tell me why, for some closure I'd be at least a little happier than the big invisible "F You" that I feel like I'm getting when that error message about not loading spectator data pops up and boots me out. Please, anyone.... some helpful advice?
Yup, had that for many many months. Some patches ago it just broke it.
I am also encountering issues with spectating games. Things will load up but the game will not start. pls help

Thank you for letting us know that you are one of the players that cannot spectate games at the moment.. We are aware that some players are unable to connect to the spectate servers and are working hard to get it fixed. Unfortunately, I cannot provide any estimate for the completion date at this time. To avoid confusing or disappointing players, we try to only announce these dates when we are sure we can meet the arrival schedule.
I appreciate your patience and understanding regarding this issue, and thank you again for taking time out of your day to send us this report. Please let me know if you have any questions.

I cannot spectate still....
My spectator is working now, i'm unsure if client repair fixed it or if riot fixed it but after doing a client repair to fix another issue i had, (which is also fixed) i noticed my spectator was working again.
If anyone is still having failed to connect to spectate server or failed to download spectate data, then try a client repair... it might work, it might not... i'm not sure if it's what fixed my spectator or not.
