Why are yasuo mains so toxic?

Skater jindo ·2/26/2017, 7:33:36 PM·19 votes·13,594 views

i just had a game where i played vi jgl and had a yasuo, with mastery lvl 7 ofc, at top lane in my team and i just wanted to share this story..

his toxicity started during champion select. He instalocked top although Garen wrote it first and kept saying that he was first that was really infuriating, but the Garen was nice and went bot instead so kayle got spared from a 2 v 1. Yeah as the game started the Yasuo just straight up went to the enemy tower to let himself get killed, without any reason (side note: he didn't wrote anything until then). Then after some time he began to ping every mistake someone did, LITERALLY EVERY MISTAKE, and occasionally wrote things like "wow so bad" or wrote things that didn't make any sense like "u have an IQ of 5 because u can only write Yasuo". and then he suddenly began to write a LOT. If we tried to communicate he always wrote "stfu" or other mean things, it felt like he was one of those 10 year olds you occasionally see in online games who always say things like "i fucked your mom", he was just plain annoying. I muted him after some time of course but the pings didn't stop. His english was pretty bad too. I barely felt that much hate for any other league player but him. Yeah so we were about to win because some of us got fed a lot (including Yasuo) but he also died a lot. He always thought he could 5 v 1 but that's just basically every Yasuo so nothing strange. But the worst thing was he kept spamming his mastery emote continuously, srsly everytime he would do something, even little things, he spammed it, whether is was killing a minion, killing a champion, taking dragon. The "ez" in all chat also appeared everytime. We won that game but it didn't felt like, i didn't want to this yasuo to win. i just felt like finding his home and smacking his face against his Keyboard. And i just think it's kinda funny how almost every Yasuo with Mastery 7 behaves similar to this, they think they are some kind of gods and have to spam their emote, while for examplea Talon with Mastery 7 barely behaves like that. I just can't understand why for some people being nice is so difficult, i don't know how these players benefit from ruining the day of others, i just think that's really sad. If you experienced similar things then be free to write them down, I would love to read your stories.

have a nice day

Why do you only complain about Yasuo? Everyone that plays League is toxic. Everyone lowkey hates their teammates. Change the title to "Why does League make people toxic and do stupid shet to ruin other peoples day?"

Dude, mastery 7 changes people.....a reason why i don't want it

This kind of people only find fun on considering theirselves above others. This includes behaving like an alpha male ( I can give firstblood and still win the lane) and pointing any minimal mistake you commit just to feel they are better than you. It's their way of feeling like they achieved "something".

Also, Yasuo is a champ that has great outplay potential, and after some games with him you can have really good results even without knowing 100% his mechanics, (I'm not saying he is a noobchamp, ok?) which is exactly what they want: a way to outstand everybody and feel special.

You cant assume because a few yas mains are toxic they all are... your title is very misleading.

i dont play yas

Why was my top laner 2 games ago toxic and threaten to afk? Why was my jungler flaming the entire team yesterday?

FilDaFunk2/26/2017, 9:45:34 PM2 votes

I don't think a 10 year old would say that they "fucked your mom".

On another note, it's because they can dash 500 times a minute, and think it's skill knocking up champs.

Toxic champion designs attract toxic fanbases. It's only natural that one of the worst things to ever come out of Riot's doors has one of the worst collection of fanboys in the game.

SSShutTheDuckUp2/26/2017, 8:54:04 PM2 votes

As maybe the worst designed champion in the game, at least in "play against" and "have it in your team" categories it just attracts the most garbage type of players. As simple as that.

Just had a game with top Yasuo in enemy team. Luckily I choose Kayle so the Yasuo end up with 6/8. Not that bad for us but not good either. In the beginning of the game he started insulting gay people just for our bot is playing new duo ad and support (???) and keeps insult through the whole game We still lost since they had a really good master yi and in the end Yasuo said "ggez gay power"

typical perfect yasuo✅

I am a Yasuo main from OCE... Me saying that right there probably earnt me a downvote but guess what. I'm a yasuo main that has an ego that is easily aggrovated but I only flame when provoked. I'm no saint when I say this but not all rank 7 yasuo players act like gods among men. Take it with a grain of salt when I say this but shit happens man. Live life, gain elo, and fuck them toxic bastards ruining your mood whether it be me or someone else but stop stereotyping the damn champion coz I'm sick of this hate towards yasuo mains that we get.

Kara Ben Nemsi5/18/2017, 3:50:11 PM1 votes

I have a story about a Yasuo player as well. We had no problems in champion selection, everyone went on a lane. If I remember corectilly I was jg with Udyr and that Yasuo went mid lane. The game was great, that yasuo player carried the whole match and we had the mid pushed to the enemy nexus. That Yasuo was something like 30/5/13 at the end, but we lost because he only wanted kills. We had lost a team fight at the nexus after Yasuo tried to obtain some more kills instead to destroy the nexus, he didn't wanted to finish the game, after we lost the team fight the enemy team took the baron and they started to push our mid lane, we had no chance to stop them from pushing. That player wasn't toxic nor a flamer, but his ego made him lost the game... oh, he had mastery 7 ofc. I still wonder why he didn't went for the objectives...

And for my other games... yeah, same "yasuo mains", everyone has a skin and mastery 7, when I fight against them on top lane they keep spamming the mastery and the dashes, and the laugh, don't forget the laugh... I also hate the Riven players and ffs Tryndamere as a champion (fuckin 3 hits and ignite at level 1 for first blood). These 3 champions ( Riven Yasuo Tryndamere ) are my nightmares when I fight against them I'm sure that they will flame me, will taunt and spam abilities, but GOD I love when I can kill and tilt them, for now I play just Yorick Yorick on top lane because I find him like a counter for this kind of players, they don't expect anything special for me or Yorick in general and when I bait them, they just go for it, and then they end under turret blocked by minions or my W and the Maiden sucking life from them.

AceOfSpades125/24/2017, 9:42:40 PM1 votes

why they are toxic? cuz they cant accept the fact that they counter high skill champs and mages while no skill champs counter their as$ so hard (and i am speaking about malzahar Malzahar all you will do is just doing e to waste his shield then go all in combo GG you slain a toxic enemy) while if you play the likes of the mighty TwistedFate TF then rip

PENG T1NG 6/21/2017, 7:30:11 PM1 votes

I main yasuo on eu west and I've rarely flamed anyone but recently I've been flamed every time I locked in yasuo and it's tilting me but I just /mute all start of the game people already start talking and I haven't done anything at all I don't flame I'm friendly I don't do anything bad just everyone flames me my name is Lonely East one Eu west

HarambeMeme6/22/2017, 7:52:19 AM1 votes

idk yasuo mains are toxic... this game is so toxic.... why i switched over to mobile legends lmao game is way better

Prime Beholder7/1/2017, 4:40:05 PM1 votes

This is so relatable, I was playing with one (level 7 as well) and he autolocked and made an excuse. He was the adc and I was the support, our enemies at bot lane were another Yasuo and a Galio. Since Galio was really just a straight up murder to Yas, he gave up and just stayed behind tower and farmed whenever. Then when he kept on dying, I decided to roam mid. After a long time he blamed me constantly, with the usual i'll fuck your mom. I paid no attention to his childishness whatsoever. But what strikes me is that, he was 0/17 and fed all game. :/ I was playing as Lux.

qloix7/6/2017, 4:38:15 AM1 votes

Honestly I get flamed more when I play Yasuo than I flame others. I only "spam" my mastery emote on him if somebody else has been either flaming me or bming me the whole game. I only show it after those kills or after i get a penta or smthing XD. Recently I was playing treeline cause I was bored and had a Kassa in my team who started to flame all Yasuo mains and me for showing my mastery after I won a 3v1. He told me shit like "All Yasuo mains are toxic" and "I'm tired of shit Yasuo mains acting like they're good when they play a noobchamp!". Reminds me of racist topics when people go like "ALL WHITE PEPEL AR RASIST". Can we start a #Yaslivesmatter campaign?

Not a yas main fyi i'm a jax main

NinjaMine7/20/2017, 4:10:26 PM1 votes

Yeah, some Yasuo mains are really toxic. I was with a Yasuo main just now and one of the players in my team banned their Yasuo (because you don't want them on your team), then he just completely flipped and started inting on Twitch.

undyne undying17/23/2017, 4:29:28 AM1 votes

Your title can mislead since it kinda specifies that ALL of them are, not all of them are toxic but i would say the majority are I've had funny ones or kind ones but i did see most of them being toxic af spamming the mastery emote like they are just some kind of yasuo gods that need to be praised or kissed in the ass or something like that gosh i even saw some that behaved like children or even try to make their team miserable by telling the others they suck or something like they are claiming to be the best or the "carry" in the whole team one time i was playing, the enemy yasuo claimed to be the best one in the whole team after a teammate joked around and asked for the best player in their team minutes later after that yasuo started to rage and complain and insulting everyone that we sucked and he was gonna carry and fuck our team when he was actually feeding after that he rage quit and went afk :/ wow sad life they must have... i just wonder why its the yasuos or why players decide to use yasuo and dirty his name like that [zombie-nunu-bummed]

Worst Kench NA2/26/2017, 11:43:20 PM1 votes

You could replace "yasuo" with "riven" and it would be even more believable.

Curious Kat2/27/2017, 12:07:43 AM1 votes

It's not just Yasuo players, i personally have run into more toxic Lee's than i have Yas's.

EPiKDJ2/27/2017, 12:25:53 AM1 votes

Let's not forget Riven mains. Toxic as PHUCK

Mighty Mortein2/27/2017, 3:44:28 AM1 votes

I think it's the champion really. I mean, someone who is pretty aggressive with a fair amount of outplay potential and flashy plays. Don't get me wrong, I've met some pretty rad Yasuo mains. They're super nice and it brings me to their lane to gank them if I'm jungling.

Corvo Attano2/27/2017, 5:31:49 AM1 votes

This is why when i mained Yasuo and i felt i wasn't toxic i decided upon straight up qutting him at lvl 6 + 2 lvl 7 tokens

So happy....

This sort of generalization isn't very nice, either. It might give a warm fuzzy feeling to all the people out there that hate Yasuo as a champion, but it comes at the cost of hurting the Yasuo mains out there. If you're a normal, nice person, and people start treating you like crap and trying to tilt you because you play Yasuo, you're almost certainly more likely to react negatively.

I don't normally post much anti-hate rhetoric, since it usually falls on deaf ears. But if you truly want to be nice and not ruin other people's days (or their entire LoL enjoyment if they have to put up with frequent harassment for playing Yasuo), consider not saying stuff like this.

EndlessSorcerer3/2/2017, 9:47:13 PM1 votes

Certain types of champions (i.e. high-mobility skill-oriented duelists) tend to attract toxic players more frequently than others do.

Riven, Yasuo and Vayne are the stereotypical examples.

look my man , i actually dont know why u related the person's toxicity with his champ , im a yasuo main and i see a lot of hate , btw i dont flame , whatever happend even if someone flamed me for no reason or played bad or instalocked ... etc , in my opinion relating a player with his champ is a stupidity , yasuo players or mains are known as "trash" or bad , toxic , cancer .. etc because of 2 reasons , maybe yasuo haters are bronze players who dont know how to deal with him so they are jusr crying everywhere , or just a "stupid" people , sry for that but really stupid , to relate a player with his champ . and take it as a rule , just low elo players cry from yasuo .. he is a normal champ but u are so emotional .. have a nice day too .
