Do NOT complain about Riot! You have no idea how Dota2's servers suck!

When i still played Dota2 there were several times you couldn't log on Steam plus can't log on Dota2's servers. Sometimes you could log on Dota2 but you couldn't connect to Steam. There are something more. Even though you could go to queue, you have to wait for those people who could not load the fking game. Then you had to re queue, which took another 1 min, then repeated the fking process. Probably you still had some poor guys couldn't load the fking game. Every Dota2 game usually took 10 more minutes. So stop complaining at Riot. They are just fine, but no perfect.

That's why we play League, so we don't have to deal with Steam going down constantly.

I play Dota and have never had this problem. Also, Dota makes everyone load in first so there are less dcs and such. If someone doesn't load it, it can screw over your team sometimes. So it's actually nice that people can load in first just to make sure that everyone is there.

The reason you would have to load into the game before hand is to HELP YOU. That function is there to prevent people from getting into a game then disconnecting. I'm sure you have been in games where someone has not loaded in and then you get stuck in a 4v5 and have to deal with that. DotA 2 servers are balanced. They put you against people similar to you in skill level. They actually punish people who dodge/troll/leave/etc. Granted I will admit that getting into a game of league is quicker, but the DotA servers are better overall.

Aside from that, the steam issue is something that you need to check out. And if DotA 2 servers are down, then they are doing bug fixes probably.

Yea....there's almost no truth to OP's statement.

I've played dota 2 for years now, and i've had a minuscule number of issues (and those were short lived at best 30min). LoL seems to go out for weeks to months at a time when they experience severe network issues. Even when there isn't a network attack, its stilla terrible experience with login issues, patch issues, etc.

Also, from hitting the search button to moving ur champ/hero around its a much shorter time than in LoL (on average). In dota if your wood Computer can't load the game in a minute, you are booted from the queue and everyone else is returned to highest priority. You don't waste time conversing, choosing champs, arguing, etc only to have the game take 5min to load then have someone immediately get bounced.

With that said, if you make it into a game then a person dc/afk in the first 5min and or before firstblood, game doesn't count and everyone is allowed to leave. There's no stick around for 20min to play a game that was 4v5 from the start.

Dota has this one right by a mile, lets hope Riot does something to compete (also east coast servers).
