What would you do? A serious question to the League of Legends Community about Streaming.

I’ve included a TLDR at the bottom for anyone that cares to answer this question so feel free to voice your opinion. I am VERY OPEN to all opinions on the matter whether for or against.

I’m 26 years old and, like I’m sure all of you do, love video games. Lately, due to the type of work I’m in, I’ve been watching almost hundreds of hours of streaming starting with Day 9 (Starcraft 2), and migrating to league of legends streamers when I started playing the game back in Season 2.

And for the past two years this has been an idea in the back of my head, writing down dozens of ways I’d like to do things differently but haven’t actually taken the risk and put myself out there to see what could happen. I’ve kept telling myself that there’s thousands of people that are already streaming and that I’m so far behind them all because I’d be just starting out, and this has kept me sitting on the sidelines for some time.

At this point in my life, I’ve saved nearly $1,000 to purchase a new computer I’ve had my eye on, that’d be perfect for streaming, and figure that I spend most of my nights after working playing games anyway so streaming wouldn’t change my schedule at all, and I’m ready to take the plunge. The stream would be more entertainment focused with some unique ways to establish interactivity between myself and viewers that I've thought of. I can't promise to bring expert high level gameplay (I'm only Plat V), but I'd like to focus on creating a place to have a good time and make friends.

To me, $1,000 is a good chunk of money that maybe I should just save, or put into my school fund but I don’t always want to think “what if” and feel like I never took a risk.

Now that you know the back story I’d like to pose my question to all of you.

TLDR AND QUESTION: If making money wasn’t a factor to you, and you had a similar situation to mine with 5 or more hours a day to dedicate to streaming, running a website and creating youtube videos. Would you do it? If no, why wouldn’t you do it? (This is assuming that all of your other responsibilities are taken care of such as gym, significant other, family and so forth)
