Do divisions really matter when queuing with a friend?

Hello,

My girlfriend and I really want to delve into ranked play together. Thing is after we finished provisional we ended up in different divisions. I was told to make it easier on us we should wait till were both the same division to queue together. But she cant make it to Bronze 2. She gets to the promotion stage and then her teams blow it and she keeps dropping down and down. Then back up to promotion and down again. Is there any hope?

Thanks for the insight! :D

I say just go for it :) People were saying to wait becuase you wont get as much LP for winning, and lose more if your team happens to lose. But this is a game - Have fun, play together, enjoy life :)

It will just average you two out, based on your hidden "mmr". Basically, if you are Bronze 1, and she is bronze 5, you will have bronze 3ish players on your team, you will be first pick, she will be last, and you will be against players around bronze 3. No need to be in the same division to play together, duo with her now and help her out of bronze 2.

P.S. Why didn't you two do your provisional matches together? You would have been in the same division I believe if you played all 10 together.

Thanks everyone for you input! Also does anyone know if when Preseason ends, there will be provisional matches again?
