League of Legends on Windows 10

Hello everyone, not sure where to post this so I just go and post this in Miscellanous. Since I'm on Windows 7, (Legit version) I'm actually kind of scared to change for Windows 10, I've seen report where LoL wouldn't work with Windows 10. Is it true? Some people told me to wait for a couple of months for the first couple of fixes but the Cortana thing looks cool plus I have an Xbox One and since I can play my Xbox Ones games with my PC this is going to be totally awesome.

So anyone here who changed for Windows 10 and can tell me if it's worth it or not right now?

Windows 10 will have Directx12 which is going to be a substantial upgrade from Windows 7 for gaming. The main issue you'll have with the operating system upgrade is that the UI for Windows 10 adopts a lot of the Windows 8 stuff and it just looks terrible. If you can get used to the UI it's probably worth the upgrade, but I can guarantee you it will be pretty buggy for a few months while Microsoft works out the kinks.

You have a full year to upgrade from Windows 7 to Windows 10 for free. I would wait several months before actually doing it if you want to avoid the bugs.

Also, Apple is overpriced. Nice hardware, average software, but you're paying for godlike hardware and super good software. Would avoid at all costs.

I see you put Crapple on your list, which is paying for Unix. Why not a Linux option, man up.

i think win 10 will be nice.

win xp was the best os tho, but too bad directx11 doesnt work so lot of games doesnt work. win7 was ok, but still have lot of bugs. win 8 is like vista no need to speak about it. but win 10 sound very good for me.

if i remember correctly wasnt people who were in the Beta for Window's 10 having difficulties with the game, but that they (Riot) was working on making the game suitable for LoL. Im sure by the time we all get Win10 it will be great to run LoL, at least i hope!

My question is if that free upgrade is the completed version of windows 10 or if it is still in beta? I'm interested but if i cant play then I am not.

Windows 10 is not released yet, and as such, no one can 100% say if League runs well or poorly on it.

Windows 10 Tech Preview, from what I read, had a patch that was bugged, but that was several months ago and was fixed the next patch. It's important to note that after Windows 10 officially releases that a problem like what happened with the Tech Preview will probably be fixed faster, but it wasn't a priority since the Tech Preview wasn't officially supported by either Microsoft at the time, let alone Riot supporting the client on it.

I'm going to wait a month or so to see how everything goes. I've got some coworkers that are chomping at the bit to upgrade to Windows 10, and they also play League. I'm sure I'll hear pretty quickly if things break for them.

Just upgraded to windows 10 and had a problem with always attempting to reconnect... I used the windows 8 compatibility mode (since that's the os i was using before the upgrade and the game was running spotleslly) and that fixed the attempting to reconnect issue but the framerate is really low and there are random ping and lag spikes even if you're at your base...So no,in my honest opinion don't upgrade to windows 10 yet... :)
