Ok so. I am sideghost. Aka: Sidewise, so many ghosts, soapfish. I am likely the world's most well versed dedicated ADC Sona. I have registered around 400,000 mastery points playing Sona purely as an ADC.

First off, I miss team builder, it was great to be able to q as an ADC Sona, and lobby leaders would know what they were getting into immediately, I experience a lot more arguing and harassing nowadays, trying to play ADC Sona in draft pick and its basically impossible to play it in blind pick.

Almost every game I play as ADC Sona, my teamates have their obvious doubts. Nobody expects ADC Sona to be able to hold up at any stage of the game, but the thing is, I've done this so many times (for years, check the screenshot dates), and I can without any doubt in my mind say that ADC Sona is a viable pick (ESPECIALLY IN THE CURRENT META).

I think Riot really needs to do an ADC Sona awareness week sometime in the near future. Perhaps make it a dark horse. ADC Sona is a viable if not completely OP pick, and most of the games I lose with her are based on cultural facades and general unawareness.

Can we please discuss this topic in great issue, I want to respond to some of the main debate points that people make, please debate.

Also if there are other ADC Sona mains out there please step forward. It is our time.

Marksman Sona could possibly be viable, I can see what you're going for there. However, you're not making a strong case personally with your stats. You're Gold 5 according to LoLKing, which means you haven't quite gotten to the level where you need more than raw game knowledge and mechanics to win. There was a guy a few years ago who took AP Darius to ranked and made it to plat 3 or 4 before he hit the wall where you need a viable build in addition to your skill.

That's not to rank shame you or anything, but it to prove a point that you need to play and succeed at a higher competitive level before you can claim that what you're doing is viable. You're still at the level where nonviable things like support Katarina and AD Annie can still work; builds that can win not because they're good but because the competition is less than amazing.

If you want to claim ADC Sona is viable, then you should either find a player that does that at a higher level or become that player yourself. If you can make it plat 3 or higher maining ADC Sona, I would consider it viable. I don't think that's too much to ask for, considering there was a streamer back in season 4-5 that mained AD (old) Malz jungle to diamond. He proved AD Malz jungle was viable by beating people that had real talent and builds with it; you should follow that example.

I won't claim it doesn't work or anything, I just want to know why I should pick her over traditional ADC choices. I think I would probably compare her to maybe Sivir since her ult offers some great utility.

My biggest issue with her in the role is waveclear, similar to a mid Sona. If the enemy chooses to they can just push you in over and over and you lack the tools to really deal with it.

Also what keystone / runes? Not trying to pick ADC Sona apart, just interested in how you play it. I enjoy weird picks, haven't played her as a carry myself in like 4 seasons.
