Riot expanding their game.
I think LoL should honestly be on consoles with separate servers.
Now, please before I begin, this may get lots of flame and anguish for people saying "It's too expensive" and "We don't need this" or about how it couldn't happen. So anyone wanting to say these things please just stop reading.
Now keep in mind these are purely just ideas that I though of, not some expertly plotted out design.
Explanation League on a console, now that would be something incredible. I think riot should seriously look into making league into a downloadable arcade game on consoles such as Xbox and Playstation brands. It would span a whole new huge player database, I know lots of people who game hardcore Xbox and Playstation, but don't touch computers, mostly because they are expensive and difficult to use. A downloadable online game would actually be really epic. You could have a group of 5 friends in a party go into a ranked game with each other, on a console. Those friends that always game CoD could be able to try the game you always talk about, and they would probably enjoy it, purely because it's console based. Not to mention the spike in players in a computer version, as well. People who enjoy the console version would probably want to try it on a computer.
Controls Since I own an Xbox brand I will be explaining the controls in Xbox functions. (Pressing A, B, Y, or X will select an ability, just like normal cast in the computer version) A - The "Q" ability B - The "W" ability Y - The "E" ability X - The "R" ability LT - This button allows the player to switch between minions and champions he/she is auto attacking or focusing (first champion agro will auto target the attacker RT - This trigger allows the player to use an ability once it has been selected. LB - This will open the shop, replacing the ability to move with a small cursor used to select items RB - This will allow your champion to move in unlocked mode, when pressed in unlock mode your champion will walk towards the center of the screen LS - This joystick will move your champion in the direction it is facing, If pressed it will switch your view to unlocked and you can roam the map instead. RS - This joystick will allow you to aim your abilities once selected, if pressed it has a secondary aiming system (for champs like Viktor and Rumble), and lastly, it can be used to activate active items. Select - This will be the scoreboard Start - This will be options and settings D up - The ping bar, a bar will pop up on the middle of the screen, use left and right on the pad to select your type of ping (pings are placed in middle of screen) D down - Switches between active items where you can proceed to activate them by pressing RS when not aiming secondary abilities D left - Summoner spell 1 D right - Summoner spell 2
Pre-game Explanation Now, before the game starts, you need to look at your runes, masteries, what champs you have, they you have to go into champ select and call your lane. Let me tell you, a pre game on screen cursor would work just fine. it could be used like the shop and would be functioned using the right stick and selecting with A. It would look the same way computer league would, except the friends list would be your Xbox and PlayStation friends. Champ select would be the same, except to call lanes (unless it's ranked) where one gets a separate on screen keyboard from the ones with the Home button layout, with quick select where if it was selected it would say a lane. (top, jungle, mid, adc, support)
Well that is definitely was a very very brief description of controls, there would obviously be problems, bugs and exploits and such, and very difficult to play. But with the right game developing team it would actually be a possible thing to create.
