You must earn them from there by earning an S rank in any matchmade mode that grants Mastery points. A premade ally can also earn one for you.
You can only earn 1 chest per champion per season, so to earn all 4 available chests you will have to earn an S on 4 different champions. If an ally earns an S the chest counts for the champion you are playing, not the one you are on. You can see which champions you've already earned one on by looking for the gold border in your Champion roster page in your profile

You or someone on your team has to earn an S score I believe. And I think you need to get it on a champ you haven't gotten it on before, or perhaps it's on a cool down of sorts.
You have to earn them by obtaining a grade of S- or higher after a game ends. Also, you can only earn one chest per champ.
