My Love of Support

First, let me state that I am unranked and only play League for fun, but every game, I try to help bring my team to victory. I main the support role and with that, I have a certain pride that comes with playing the least desired role of the game.

I love the feeling of rescuing my team from certain devastation. I am always willing to risk my life to make certain key players in my team make it out of a fray in one piece. Being a support main is about filling that certain niche in a team that we all need. I am able to express my protective nature in this role and I love to compliment my team's hard work (especially when it results in a kill). It also means willing to go into a fight knowing that, you yourself, are not to try to get a kill, but give them. This is likely the most off-putting feature about support many people notice. This is never an issue for me because for the most part, people recognize me for my aid to the team as a whole. Many would say playing support is boring and that you have nothing to do but babysit your ADC, which is simply not how I see it. I've always enjoyed the role from my start on Taric, taking hits and getting those awesome stuns off. I have, however, ventured into expanding my support pool and began playing poke supports such as Sona and Nami, and let me tell you, it is never boring looking for angles to poke and play aggressive from. I love to zone enemies from farm and love to see my ADC's CS soar. All in all, support is easily my favorite role to play in League of Legends, and I enjoy the certain level of respect a competent support can earn from their ADC and team.
