Rank resets?

So I just wanna know, if your placements will reset this season. I know that it usually doesn't (like for example if I was bronze 5 and I win all 10 games I still might end up in bronze 1) but does it reset this season so I can get gold? There could be a reset next season. I messed up and i'm currently Bronze 4.

Once you've done your placements and Ranked, you'll be assigned your own MMR (rather than having the fresh baseline MMR a new player gets). Unfortunately, it won't reset completely with the new season so your placement isn't going to that great unless your MMR is better than where you are ranked.
