Duo-queuing in provisionals

If I finish season 5 in gold and my friend finishes in bronze, can we duo-queue in season 6 before we are placed? What about if I place in silver (from gold season 5) before she does her provisionals? I know gold+bronze can't duo regular season but I'm not sure how it works in provisionals. Any help is appreciated. :)

i dont think you can because it would be unfair if i duoed with a diamond for my provisionals just to get boosted if you are gold and she is bronze you cant duo after that until you guys are placed with in 1 teir of each other

i think you can if its unranked account you just have to face weird opponents
