Why does it not show what I've said when messaging someone from inside a game once the game is over?

I wasn't sure where else to put this, so here goes:

If someone starts talking to you in PM in a game and you go to your chat box when the game ends, it shows a long list of all the things they said but none of the messages you sent. Is there a reason for this other than it hasn't been fixed?
